Maddox &#8211; Kitchens &#8211; Lumsden<\/strong>)\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As per the Sons of the American Revolution, Jeremiah Lumsden (1753-1837) served as a private in the Revolutionary War.<\/p>\n<p>Jeremiah immigrated to Georgia from Rocky Mount, Virginia circa 1788 with his family &amp; the families of several of his siblings.\u00a0 He served in the Virginia Militia during the Revolutionary War alongside his father (John) and two of his brothers.<\/p>\n<p>It is likely that he served in the Georgia Militia following the Revolution as indicated on his Veterans Administration marker.<\/p>\n<p>Ordained before leaving Virginia he served the area around Kelly, GA as a circuit riding Methodist minister.<\/p>\n<p>In 2008, the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) held a grave marking ceremony &amp;
